THE NAPLES BEACH HOTEL & GOLF CLUB has received two more prestigious awards from the meetings industry, Association Meetings magazine’s “2006 Inner Circle Award” and Corporate & Incentive Travel magazine’s “2006 Award of Excellence.” The awards were presented to Jim Gunderson, general manager of the 318-room resort, which is Naples’ only beachfront resort offering on-site championship golf, a world-class spa, and award-winning tennis center.

Considered one of the most sought after awards in the industry, the “Inner Circle Award” was given to only 40 hotels and resorts in the U.S., Canada, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Award recipients were selected by Association Meetings magazine’s readers, who voted for properties based on their high level of service, flexible function space, quality of food and beverage, and good value on room rates. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club was one of only nine hotels or resorts in Florida to capture the award.

Also recognized as one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, the “Award of Excellence” is determined by subscribers of Corporate & Incentive Travel, who voted for those properties that best served their corporate meetings and/or incentive travel programs during the past year.

The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club was also recently honored with Successful Meetings' “Pinnacle Award,” Meeting News’ “Planner’s Choice Award,” Medical Meetings magazine’s “Merit & Distinction Award,’ ConventionSouth magazine’s “Readers’ Choice Award,” and Corporate & Incentive Travel’s “Greens of Distinction Award.”

“Consistently receiving these honors recognizes that The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club as a great choice for meetings, incentive groups and conventions,” said Gunderson. “Not only does the resort have exceptional offerings and a great location, but we are consistently recognized for providing first-class service too.”

Featuring 34,000 square feet of conference and event space, the resort completed a $6 million enhancement of its lobby in Fall 2005, which included the addition of large windows along the west wall to provide a stunning view of the Gulf of Mexico. The remodeling of the lobby was the last part of a 5-year, $40 million enhancement and expansion.

The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, owned and operated by the Watkins family for 60 years, combines impressive meeting capabilities with exceptional recreational offerings in a world-class destination.
