Meeting Professionals International recently announced the appointment of BRUCE MACMILLAN, C.A. as their new President and CEO.  He will take the raines in beginning in December.  Bruce currently heads Tourism Toronto, the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association and he was formerly with the Greater Vancouver CVB.  As a member of MPI, he serves on the International Board of Directors and was chair of the Information Technology Committee.  

"We're extremely excited about the future of MPI under Bruce's management," said Katie Callahan-Giobbi, senior vice president of sales for LA Inc, the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau, and chair of the search committee.  MacMillan will lead the association's 75-person staff in tending to the more than 21,100 members. "As a longtime MPI member, this is a breathtaking opportunity for me," he said in a press conference today. "MPI has made a huge difference in my life. I want every MPI member to be able to look on their association as a key element for their success."
