INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HISPANIC MEETING PROFESSIONALS

The IAHMP's First Annual Conference was held on August 18-20, 1996 at the Fontainebleau Hilton Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida with the support of Hilton Hotels and American Airlines. In 1997 the conference was held at the Airport Hilton Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Since that time, IAHMP has held conferences at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Melia Cancun Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico; and The Disney World Contemporary Resort, Orlando, Florida.

For the past ten years, the conference has attracted an increasing number of participants who are involved in conducting or pursuing industry business within the growing Hispanic market. Past attendees have included meeting planners, suppliers, corporate representatives, business leaders, exhibitors, job recruiters, and students.
