Phil Caronia, General Manger of the 1334-room Rosen Centre, announced that JOHN MOLNAR will be the new Director of Convention Services and Catering for the award winning property.

“John has been a member of the Rosen Hotels and Resorts team for the past 10 years and has shown true dedication to the company’s philosophy of providing exemplary customer service,” Caronia acknowledged. “Throughout John’s tenure with the Rosen family, he has served a number of roles, all but one of which were served at the Rosen Centre. John’s successful track record with his previous duties shows that he is more than prepared to excel in this new position and to be part of the team that continues to make the Rosen Centre one of the premier convention hotels in the nation.”

As Director of Convention Services and Catering, John Molnar will be responsible for overseeing the convention service/catering department, banquet and banquet set-up departments, package room and reservations.

Before being promoted to director of convention services and catering at the Rosen Centre, Molnar had spent the last 18 months working as the national sales manager for the Midwest market for the Rosen Shingle Creek, assisting in preparations for the resort’s September opening.

After graduating from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, with a degree in business concentrated in marketing, Molnar joined the Rosen team in 1996 working as a package room manager at the Rosen Centre. From there, Molnar held other positions at the Rosen Centre including assistant banquet set-up manager, conference service manager and convention services/catering manager. In 2002, Molnar was promoted to assistant director of convention services and catering at the hotel.
