The AH&LEF BIG APPLE SILENT AUCTION began in 1993 and has become an annual event of the International Hotel/Motel Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS) held each year in November in New York City.

More than 250 items donated by AH&LA member properties, hotel companies, allied members, and industry suppliers were auctioned off last year, raising more than $80,000 in auction proceeds to benefit the Foundation's scholarship and research programs.
