The WYNDHAM Chicago; Wyndham New Orleans at Canal Place; Grand Bay Hotel - Isla Navidad Resort - A Wyndham Luxury Hotel in Mexico; The St. Anthony - A Wyndham Historic Hotel in San Antonio, Texas; and The Tremont House- A Wyndham Historic Hotel and Hotel Galvez - A Wyndham Historic Hotel, both in Galveston, Texas.

All of the properties are perennial recipients of the award; the Wyndham New Orleans has been acknowledged for 22 years; Wyndham Chicago for eight years; Grand Bay for five years; St. Anthony for four years; and the Hotel Galvez and The Tremont House, each for the third consecutive year.

In 2007, just 3.4 percent of the more than 32,000 AAA-rated hotels received the Four Diamond Award for exceptional accommodations.  The AAA system of awards includes ratings from one to five diamonds. To receive recognition, hotels go through unannounced evaluations scrutinizing cleanliness, ambiance, amenities and service. AAA describes a Four Diamond hotel as upscale in all areas with progressively more refined and stylish accommodations; physical attributes reflecting an enhanced level of quality throughout; and an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.

The Hotel Galvez - A Wyndham Historic Hotel opened in 1911 and became known as the “Queen of the Gulf” for its location along the Coast of Galveston Island. The Tremont House – A Wyndham Historic Hotel in Galveston is located in the heart of Galveston’s Strand Historic District. The original hotel, built in 1839, held the reputation as the largest and finest hotel in Texas for many years.
