PETER GASSNER has been appointed EAM Director of Operations at Langham Place Hotel. Promoted from his previous position as EAM Director of Food & Beverage, Peter’s new responsibilities will encompass overseeing the hotel’s rooms and food & beverage operations.
With a wealth of international business and resort hotel experience, Peter arrived in Hong Kong in late 2005 after six years with Hyatt in the Middle East, including Dubai in the UAE and Amman, Jordan. Previously, Peter held positions with Sun City in South Africa and Sun International in the Indian Ocean. Originally from Austria, Peter graduated from Bad Hofgastein Hotel Management School and has since built his career in food & beverage.
THEODORE LEUNG has been appointed Director of Finance at Langham Place Hotel. Theodore joined the hotel in early 2006 as assistant Financial Controller after a long career in the banking industry where he held senior positions with the Bank of China (HK) and HSBC specialising in financial management.
A registered Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA – Australia), Theodore has a Master of Commerce from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

RUTH BOSTON has been appointed Director of Communications at Langham Place Hotel, where she will oversea the development and implementation of public relations, advertising and marketing campaigns designed to drive publicity and maximize brand awareness.
With over 15 years experience in the communications role within international five-star hotels, Ruth has worked in Australia, mainland China and Japan, primarily employed in senior positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific.
Educated in Australia, Ruth has an MBA and a Bachelor degree in Business – Communications.
