Less than a year after its restored executive suites were dubbed “Best in Industry” by Meetings South magazine, ROSEN CENTRE has completed a multi-million dollar renovation that spans the hotel’s 106,000 square feet of meeting space, including its 35,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Contemporary materials and complementary furnishings have transformed ballrooms, salons and pre-function space into a fresh, inviting environment designed for ultimate comfort and productivity.
Beginning at the registration desk and continuing throughout the meeting space and breakout areas, granite countertops, fashionable light fixtures, plush woven carpeting and other enhancements will add new sparkle. The Grand and Junior Ballrooms are brightened with decorative wall coverings and alcoves outside the ballrooms and salons are being redesigned for both conversation and wireless setup. Moveable air walls complete with ornamental touches blend with the upgraded ballroom décor as if they were permanent.
“This major renovation adds incredible panache to the meeting-space environment and showcases a contemporary, stylish new look for our award-winning hotel,” said Todd Frappier, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Rosen Centre.
From the ballroom and pre-function space to registration and alcove areas, the new color scheme soothes with tones of gold and rust, then surprise with splashes of teal, wine and blue. Designers went for the “wow” with elegant Axminster carpeting from Tai Ping that incorporates ovals, scrolls and graceful spirals, as well as eye-catching medallions and border designs. Contemporary window treatments are softened with sheers to create a warm effect.
Both Grand and Junior Ballrooms feature large fabric-covered panels with contemporary lacewood borders. Three-tiered, three-foot-tall custom wall sconces with silk shades shine creative lighting on the meeting space, and two alabaster chandeliers will add additional interest in the registration area. Moveable air walls have been re-designed with a soft acoustical treatment.
Alcove seating in alternating styles accommodate conversational groupings as well as guests who need wireless work areas. Nickel-finished tables with black granite tops are grouped with fully upholstered chairs, lounge chairs and occasional chairs. Even restrooms are lavish with golden granite countertops, new tile treatments and framed mirrors with sconces.
