Marriot New Orleans at the Convention Center is pleased to announce MONIQUE COOLING as the new director of sales and marketing.  Cooling brings over five years of hospitality sales experience to the table and will be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing for the chic property.

In her new position, Cooling will oversee the daily activities for the riverfront hotel including sales and marketing performance, guest services and more.  The property, housed in a former cotton mill, conveniently located in the Warehouse/Arts District and a short walking distance from the French Quarter, features 320 guestrooms, 11 spacious suites and 24,464 square-feet of meeting and event space with 18 meeting rooms.  The hotel’s restaurant, Wolfe’s in the Warehouse, is renowned on the local New Orleans food scene and serves up contemporary Creole cuisine under the watchful eye of famed chef, Tom Wolfe.

A Louisiana native, Cooling began her career in the travel industry at the InterContinental New Orleans where she quickly climbed the ranks.  Beginning as a sales manager, her dedication led her to posts including director of training and development, senior sales manager and her most recent role as the assistant director of sales.  Cooling’s record of achievement driving sales revenue in a highly competitive market coupled with her tenacity in securing customer loyalty and forging strong relationships with business partners, will make her an asset to the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center.
