Benchmark Hospitality has appointed PAUL KURCESKI director of facilities for The Heldrich, the luxury hotel which recently opened in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Michael Taylor, general manager, made the announcement.

“I am pleased to welcome Paul to our executive management team at The Heldrich,” said Mr. Taylor.  “He brings important operational expertise gained from multiple industries to his new role.  We look forward to his active contribution to this remarkable new property.”

Paul Kurceski was most recently the chief engineer for the Holiday Inn Express of New York City, which was upon opening the largest hotel in its product category for the international brand.  He joined the property as part of the pre-opening management team. 

Kurceski has broad experience within the hospitality industry.  He served as director of engineering for The Carlton Hotel in New York City.  He has also served as chief engineer for the Embassy Suites Hotel of Parsippany, New Jersey; as assistant director of property operations at the landmark Hilton Short Hills, located in Short Hills, New Jersey; and as chief engineer at the Parsippany Plaza Hotel and Office Complexes, located in Parsippany.

Mr. Kurceski’s experience outside hospitality includes serving as project manager for TEI Network Installation Contractors of Whippany, New Jersey, and as project manager for Millbridge Maintenance Corp. of Bridgewater, New Jersey.  He resides in Rockaway, New Jersey.
