The FIRESKY RESORT & SPA made its debut in Scottsdale last month. The resort, formerly Caleo Resort & Spa, was purchased by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in December 2005 and has been undergoing renovations and enhancements to elevate the property to Kimpton’s signature brand style, services and amenities. Reflecting Kimpton’s company-wide commitment to personalizing its properties and emphasizing the unique personality of each individual location, the renovated property will tell the story of the four elements of nature – fire, water, earth, and air.

The resort includes new features such as a bold, contemporary decor, a soaring lobby and lounge dominated by a towering 28-foot-tall fireplace, free Wi-Fi resort-wide, yoga and meditation TV channels, and the signature “Forgot it? We got it” service. Other recognized programs and services include a wine hour each evening, in-room spa treatments and welcome amenities for pet guests.

Each of the property’s guestrooms and suites is stocked with high-end amenities such as flat-screen TVs, 300-thread-count Frette sheets, Carrara marbled bathrooms, and L’Occitane bath products.

The new lobby lounge features unexpected elements such as a glowing, onyx-topped community table and a cluster of cozy day beds that create a leisurely area for socializing in front of the massive fireplace.

Taggia, a full-service restaurant adjacent to the lounge, serves up the coastal Italian cuisine of Chef Claudio Urciuoli. A native of Italy, Urciuoli uses only the freshest organic food sources – seafood flown in daily, imported artisan-crafted pastas, cured Italian meats, heirloom herbs and vegetables sourced from local farmers, and more.

In addition, the resort’s 3,500-square-foot Jurlique Spa is the only Jurlique branded spa in Arizona and features these high-end products in the treatments.
