FORWARD TO A FRIEND CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The Grosvenor Resort, the closest resort to Downtown Disney® and its Pleasure Island® nighttime entertainment complex, has named STEVEN GREEN director of sales & marketing. In his new position, Green is responsible for overseeing sales and marketing efforts for the 626-room lakefront resort, which is undergoing an extensive $25 million property-wide renovation and enhancement. Every aspect of the resort is being touched by the project, which includes remodeling all guest rooms and suites, the 19,000-square-feet of meeting space, the lobby, the restaurants and lounges, the pool area, guest room corridors, and pre-function space. The project is well underway and is slated for completion by September 2007.

Green comes to The Grosvenor Resort from the 1,100-room International Plaza Resort & Spa on Orlando’s International Drive, where he served as director of sales. A 15-year hospitality industry veteran, Green also has served as national sales manager for The Peabody Orlando, and as assistant director of sales for the Sheraton World Resort in Orlando.

Green will oversee the sales and marketing efforts to announce the news of the resort’s $25 million renovation. The extensive renovation will include an all-new lobby with hardwood floors and brightly colored plush carpet with a festive tropical “Bermuda” theme. A new Lobby Bar has been designed, which will be adjacent to a new “kids’ recreation zone” equipped with a large television, an array of games and fun décor, so that parents can enjoy relaxing at the Lobby Bar while still being able to watch the kids nearby. The renovation of the lobby is slated for completion by the end of July 2007.

All of the resort’s 619 guest rooms and 7 suites are being totally remodeled, as are the guest room corridors. Guest rooms feature all-new furniture, soft goods, plush pillowtop mattresses, new wall coverings and beautiful artwork. Rooms and suites now have rich red bed covers, crisp white linens, royal blue carpet and stylish furnishings. Guest room corridors boast new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting, and beautiful drapes. All rooms, suites and corridors in the resort’s Tower are already complete, as are those in one of the resort’s two wings. The remaining wing will be complete by September 1, 2007.

Many of the rooms and suites feature incredible views of the Walt Disney World® theme parks and of Downtown Disney®, which includes impressive views of nightly fireworks displays at the theme parks and at Pleasure Island®. Other rooms feature panoramic views of the Orlando area and/or of the Downtown Disney® Resort area. All rooms and suites are equipped with a refrigerator, high-speed wireless Internet access, data ports, iron and ironing board, in-room coffee, hairdryer, radio alarm clock/MP3 adapter, in-room safe, and pay-per-view movies.

The 19,000 square feet of flexible meeting space at the resort is also being enhanced to include all-new carpet in the ballroom, meeting rooms, boardrooms, and pre-function areas. The space is also receiving new wall coverings, new chairs, and new tablecloths and linens. The remodeling of the meeting space will be complete by the end of August 2007.

The resort’s restaurant Baskervilles, known for its popular Murderwatch Mystery Theatre dinners and impressive views overlooking scenic Lake Buena Vista, is being expanded, which will include removing the walls to the adjacent bar to become much more open. The Bar will be more upscale and chic in matching with the restaurant’s enhanced décor. This project will be complete by September 1, 2007.
