The Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa announced today that TERI BIBB, the award-winning Broadway star, will bring her thrilling lyric-coloratura soprano to the red rocks of Sedona in celebration of the hotel's second anniversary. The celebration will be held on Friday, September 14 beginning with a cocktail reception on the hotel's observation terrace overlooking Thunder Mountain, followed by a fine three-course dinner and wine pairing. Teri Bibb and pianist Brett Brett Strader will entertain guests following dinner.
Bibb played Christine in "The Phantom of the Opera" more than 1,000 times on Broadway and with the national tour, including command performances at the White House for Presidents Clinton and Bush. Carnegie Hall and London's Royal Albert Hall are among the many national and international venues she's played, in addition to her performances for film scores and on television. She has been honored with both the Helen Hayes Award and the Carbonell Award. Acclaimed pianist and conductor Strader, whose choral and instrumental works have been performed extensively in the United States and overseas, will accompany Bibb.
The Sedona Rouge won AAA's Four Diamond Award soon after celebrating its first anniversary and has been featured in Travel + Leisure, the LA Times, Metropolitan Home, Bride, Sunset, and Conde Nast Traveller, among many other publications. With its Mediterranean design theme, urban location, and avant garde spa treatments, the hotel offers a sophisticated alternative for travellers to the Southwest.
Early autumn is one of the most beautiful seasons in Sedona and guests visiting Sedona for the weekend will have the opportunity to enjoy as many outdoor activities as they can fit into their schedule.
Net proceeds from the gala anniversary weekend will benefit the Sedona Miracle 2007, (www.sedonamiracle.org) a special fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Arizona, Verde Valley Sanctuary and the Sedona Community Foundation. Cost is $135 per person including tax and gratuity.
