LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels Co-President Jean-Jacques Pergant announces the appointment of ARMELl SANTENS as general manager of Miami Beach Resort & Spa, effective immediately.

Santens will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Miami Beach, Fla. resort. Located directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the Miami Beach Resort & Spa is convenient to stylish South Beach and the sophisticated shops and boutiques of Bal Harbour, and is regarded as one of the premier special events/meetings resorts in the city.

Santens comes most recently from West Hollywood, Calif., where he oversaw the transformation and repositioning of the Bel Age Hotel into The London West Hollywood, one of the prestigious properties in the LXR Collection. Prior to joining LXR, he served as managing director at The Brown Palace Hotel and Complex from 2001 to 2005, and before that, he spent four years as general manager and regional director of operations for the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. He has been in the hospitality industry for 30 years with an emphasis in food and beverage and hotel management. Santens studied accounting and finance at Cornell University and has a Liberal Arts degree from the Hotel School of Paris.
