Shangri-La Hotel, Baotou, the first international luxury hotel in Baotou, the biggest city in Inner Mongolia, opened their doors in November 2007. The hotel is Located in the city centre, overlooking the 100,000-square-metre Yinhe Square, with the commercial district and government offices close by. It is a 30-minute drive from the airport and within 15 minutes’ drive of the railway station.
Contemporary and elegant in design, the hotel features 360 guestrooms as well as 11 spacious serviced apartments. In addition to a host of signature Shangri-La amenities, each guestroom offers views of either the city skyline, the botanical garden or the Daqing mountain.
The hotel's Xin Café, open all day, is an open kitchen concept offering both local and international delicacies. The lobby lounge serves freshly brewed coffee in the morning and drinks and savouries by night.
Corporate and social events are accommodated in a 1,736-square-metre pillarless grand ballroom, a 468-square-metre junior ballroom, or a choice of 11 function rooms of varying size.
Early 2008, 70 Horizon Club rooms and the Horizon Club lounge will provide enhanced services and exclusive amenities and privileges. A menu of Chinese regional specialties and authentic Mongolian flavours awaits diners at Shang Palace restaurant. Also opening will be a fully equipped health club, which includes a gym and heated swimming pool.
