The CONVENTION COLLECTION AT CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK (The Collection) added two new hotels, the W Atlanta Downtown and the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown, to its offering of upscale accommodations and versatile function space in downtown Atlanta.

Meeting planners and attendees will enjoy an even larger selection of luxurious amenities and meeting facilities for staging events, meetings and conventions in burgeoning Luckie Marietta District downtown. 
           
The W Atlanta Downtown and the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown will bring more than 500 hotel rooms and 76 condominiums to downtown Atlanta and add to the more than 2,500 rooms and 200,000 square feet of function space available through The Collection, a group that also includes the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, the Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park, the Marriott Atlanta Downtown and the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.

Each hotel member in The Collection surrounds Centennial Olympic Park and is within steps of not only the Georgia World Congress Center but also some of Atlanta’s top attractions, including CNN Center, the Georgia Aquarium and the new World of Coca-Cola Museum. All the hotels are located within walking distance of each other, and guests at a Collection-booked event will enjoy access to all the amenities at the six participating hotels.

The support system that developed since the creation of The Collection proved to be more than just a good relationship between counterparts when two hotel members in The Collection, the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, suffered damage from the recent tornado. Members of The Collection provided each other with availability information, research assistance and strategies for relocating displaced business. The Omni Hotel at CNN Center had 90 percent of its room inventory available on April 15, and will be fully operational by the fall.  The Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel is slated to be fully operational within the next year.
