183 meeting and incentive planners converged in Cancun  April 24th – 29th, when the Mexico Tourism Board, the  Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau and Global Incentive Management hosted the 7th MEXICO SHOWCASE and TRAVEL EXPO.

Local hotels, CVB’s,  DMC's and support service providers were able to showcase their destinations, properties and services to promote Mexico as the perfect Group Travel Destination during this popular annual event.

Andy Ortiz, President of Global Incentive Management, the host DMC and the founder of the Mexico Showcase, explained: “Mexico is a destination where you will find service, infrastructure and the warm Mexican hospitality like no where else in the world. Educating all our suppliers such as hoteliers, DMCs, restaurants, audio visual companies and many others, on an going basis by promoting programs such as the CMP, CMM and other certifications, encouraged and supported by the Mexican Tourism Board to continue enhancing our knowledge in the group travel market. In addition to being hosted at wonderful area hotels and resorts including Excellence Playa Mujeres,  Dreams Cancun, ME by Melia, Gran Melia Cancun, Beach Palace, Cancun Palace, Moon Palace, Le Blanc Cancun  and Westin Resort and Spa Cancun, the participants were able to participate in seminars on “How to become a CMP”, “Visionary Planning: How to Do It” and “Mexico is Ready” presented by a panel of experts in the field.
