The WESTIN MISSION HILLS RESORT & SPA today announced a $20 million total room and exterior property renewal slated for completion in the late fall of 2008.

The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa, a Starwood property, features 512 guest rooms and is owned by Host Hotels. An extensive revitalization of the property, currently underway, will feature all-new guest room interiors with 37” plasma televisions and wireless internet, combined with modern furnishings, fixtures, carpeting and paint along with oversized work and eating areas.

Each guest room will include the world-renowned Westin Heavenly Bed™ and Heavenly Shower ™. Thirty new resort suites, as well as all-new Presidential suites are included in the revitalization project along with the property exterior. The resort currently features the all-new Westin Work-Out fitness center adjacent to the Westin Mission Hills Spa.

“The response of our customers has been very positive thus far, with very minimal disruption to guests,” said Ken Pilgrim, General Manager. “Their excitement is resulting in more business and their enthusiasm is contagious,” said Pilgrim.

“Group bookings are ahead of pace for 2009 which is greatly attributed to the new product we’ll be offering,” said Michael Macleod, Director of Sales & Marketing at the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa. “Model rooms, completed in October 2007, have proven highly successful with the booking of future group business at the resort,” said Macleod.
