Sunset Resorts proudly announces the appointment of GIOVANNA ALLELLA as Director of Property Revenue.  In her new position, Ms. Allella will be responsible for generating on-property revenue in departments outside of rooms, including gift shop, spa, day/cruise passes, tour sales, private dinners and amenity options for the company’s three Jamaican properties, Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa and Sunset at the Palms.

Ms. Allella brings career experience of more than 23 years to her new role with Sunset Resorts. Previously, she served as marketing and sales manager for Kool Running Water Park in Negril, Jamaica.  Her duties included planning and implementing sales and marketing activities, while also contributing to the executive management of the company.

From 2000 to 2007, Ms. Allella worked with Sandals Resorts as director for Ambassador Program and tours.  She managed the Sandals Resorts International Translator Program, taught languages to Jamaican staff and was responsible for the Sandals Tour Desks at various resorts in Jamaica and abroad.

Ms. Allella’s career in Jamaica also includes positions as executive assistant manager at Royal Plantation Ocho Rios and concierge manager at Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa.

Ms. Allella earned a Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Revans University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the Institute of Business Administration and Economics.  A native of Naples, Italy, she also holds Dutch citizenship and is fluent in German, English, French and basic Spanish.
