IMAN P. BUTLER, a seasoned hospitality industry executive, has been named director of sales and marketing at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia, situated in the heart of historic downtown Philadelphia.  Butler brings more than 15 years of hospitality expertise to the position.

“Iman has spent his career developing strategies for luxury properties, specifically in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Michael Walsh, general manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. “His leadership and expertise is a huge asset to our hotel as we continue to build relationships with new guests and serve our dedicated, longtime clientele.”

Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia team, Butler was the director of sales and marketing at two of the brand’s other properties: The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, Calif. and The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va. During his tenure at these properties Butler instituted vast changes to increase hotel productivity and was recognized for numerous awards. Butler’s experience also includes more than seven years with Hilton Hotels Corporation, during which he worked in various sales and marketing roles.

Butler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in hotel, restaurant and travel administration from the University of Massachusetts.
