PETE HAYDA, a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, has been appointed the area director of sales and marketing for the RockResorts Vail Collection, a group that includes The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort and The Lodge at Vail, A RockResort and Austria Haus Hotel. In addition to these responsibilities, Hayda will continue his current role as director of sales and marketing for Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa.

Hayda joins RockResorts after 15 years with Marriott International Corporation where he most recently worked as the director of sales and marketing for the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel. This role earned Hayda numerous sales accolades, including Marriott International 2005 Sales Team of the Year. Prior to that, Hayda managed several new business development projects including the opening of The Ritz-Carlton in Kansas City, Missouri.
